The Volkswagen app allows you to interact with and monitor your ID vehicle from your mobile device. Features include remote locking and unlocking, remote climate control setting and the ability to check your ID’s battery status remotely. The app even allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control, allowing you to park or get out of tight spaces while standing outside the car. 1. Download the Volkswagen app

Log in with your Volkswagen ID in the app. If you have not yet set up a Volkswagen ID, the app will take you step by step through the registration process.
Log in or register3. Add a vehicle via VIN
Add your Volkswagen to your user account in the Volkswagen app using the vehicle identification number (VIN). You will find the VIN behind your vehicle windscreen or in the registration document.
4. Activate VW connect or We Connect
Conclude the VW Connect or We Connect contract as shown in the app, then navigate to “Connect to VW Connect / We Connect” in your infotainment system. If you now detect the code shown using the “Scan code” button in your Volkswagen app, VW Connect or We Connect is activated.
